Kristen M. Holtzman Make an Appointment Make a Donation Contact Us Board Member Kristen Holtzman is an experienced philanthropist and seasoned professional with extensive experience in government, media and communications. In addition, Kristen has been highly involved with community and philanthropic endeavors. She has a successful record of accomplishment as a skilled innovator of various nonprofit organizations with a focus on business planning, management and fundraising. As a proud supporter of National Jewish Health, Kristen was honored as a 2013 Grand Marshal at the annual Beaux Arts Ball helping to raise nearly $2.3 million. She has also served on the organization’s National Council of Trustees since 2013. In 2017, Kristen and her husband, Marc Holtzman, were honorees of the annual Bella Sera event. Most recently, during her time living in New Zealand, Kristen served as a Trustee of the Wakatipu Community Foundation, one of New Zealand’s leading community foundations. At the inspiration of Carrie Morgridge, Kristen launched New Zealand's first Impact100 chapter that grants at least $100,000 annually to a local charity. Since its inception in 2020, Impact100 has grown to 177 members (who annually renew their $1,000 commitment) and has granted $330,000 to charity. In addition to her role as founding chair, Kristen was active on the grants committee and review process. As a dual citizen of Rwanda, Kristen is also committed to her work with the Point Foundation, a UK- based charity, which supports Rwandan orphans. Inspired by her daughter Ava’s vision, Kristen launched Ava’s Jammies, a nonprofit initiative that provides young orphans with pajamas. Ava’s Jammies has proudly donated thousands of pajamas to children in Africa and Asia. Previously, Kristen served as Communications Director for the Colorado Attorney General where she established and implemented a communications strategy for the Department of Law. During her time at the Department of Law, she served on the board of Safe2Tell, an initiative designed to deter school violence and build safer schools. Kristen graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in International Affairs and a B.S. in Mass Communications and Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Kristen, Marc and their four children live in Denver, Colorado.
