emailing and Saving Your References
After you have completed your Medline search you can EMAIL your references or SAVE them to your desktop.
Citation Manager is at the bottom of the web page. There are four boxes:
1. Citations -Select the citations you want
2. Fields -Select the information you want in your citations:

Ovid - A readable printout.

BRS/Tagged - One kind of special tag for importing into EndNote.

Reprint/Medlars - Another kind of special tag for importing into EndNote.

Brief (Titles) Display - Titles only.

Direct Export - Use this to export your citations directly into *EndNote. Click on Save in the Action box.
- You can also include the Search Strategy.
4. Action

Display - Displays the citations with links and can be printed from the browser.

Print Preview - Displays the citations without links and should be used to print from the browser.

Email - Emails your citations.

Save - Saves the citations selected to your hard drive directly.
If you have chosen"Direct Export" in the Citation Format box you will get a dialog box. Choose "Application" and select Your Endnote program. Choose your EndNote library. It is recommend you have a special "temp" library set up for this activity. See Ovid/MEDLINE Tip 7 for details on downloading into EndNote*.
* EndNote Users. Version 4 and 5 for the Mac. To use the Direct Export feature with Endnote, make sure your Endnote has the las test update.
