I Want to Find a Full Text Article: What are you doing?

--- I want to find a citation and have a PMID (PubMed IDentifying) number.

A. Use the E-Journal Finder

  1. Go to the E-Journal Finder. Find this link on the Library Website.
  2. Enter the PMID into the box: Search by DOI or PubMed ID Number.
  3. You will either get the article or be directed to the Article Linker for more access points.

B. Use PubMed

  1. Go to PubMed using the specialized URL found on the Library Website.
  2. Type the PMID number into the search box and hit enter.
  3. The NJHealth icons and the publisher's icons are in the upper right corner.

There are potentially three icons:

Indicates we probably have access to this article. Clicking on it does the same action as clicking the FindIt! icon.

Click to directly access an article if we own it.

If there are connection problems, click on the link on the top banner which starts with an Article Linker icon. This link will access the Article Linker to find a more stable link to the journal, check the holdings of UCDenver HSL, or order an interlibrary loan. This icon shows up on every article in the database.

This indicates we hold the article in our print journal collection. Come to the library and copy the article. At the library copy machine, you can make a print or PDF copy.
