Course Descriptions

Classes are held in the library small conference room K104d, unless otherwise noted.

  • EndNote for beginners EndNote is a bibliographic management program that lets you keep a database of references. Learn to import, store and manage references and images, format references in different styles, and create bibliographies.
  • Finding Full Text Full-text journal articles may be retrieved online in the library, from the NJH campus, or at home. Learn to find full text using the E-Journal Finder, the IMPULSE Catalog, and other resources including PubMed, Ovid, and MD Consult. 
  • Searching Ovid Medline Learn how to access, basic commands, and searching techniques for searching Ovid databases.
  • Searching PubMed Learn to search MEDLINE through the National Library of Medicine's PubMed/Entrez search engine. This class focuses on author, journal, and subject searches; limiting sets; refining and combining search strategies; and finding full text links to articles.
