Rederivation of Mouse Lines

This procedure includes the harvest and transfer of mouse embryos into pseudopregnant foster mice, or the thawing and transferring of cryopreserved embryos into pseudopregnant foster mice.  The material required for this procedure includes the purchase and husbandry of up to 6 recipient mice as well as partial support of vasectomized males required for this procedure.  If you are requesting embryos from an outside institution, please contact us so that we may coordinate this transfer for you.

 

General Overview of the Process

  1. Investigator identifies the source of the mouse embryos to be rederived.
  2. Acquisition of or generation of mouse embryos.
  3. Transfer of mouse embryos into pseudopregnant foster mice.
  4. Transfer of rederived mice to investigator following health clearance.
