Our group actively participates and leads research programs at National Jewish Health on the pharmacotherapy of asthma. Our research programs include:
Childhood Asthma Management Program (CAMP) The Childhood Asthma Management Program is a National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute sponsored research program designed to evaluate the effect of three different treatment strategies on lung growth.
Childhood Research and Education (CARE) Network The Childhood Asthma Research and Education (CARE) Network is a National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute sponsored research program dedicated to childhood asthma.
Denver Public School Asthma Program The goal of the DPS Asthma Program is to improve asthma care for school children in urban and rural areas of Colorado.
Our research is primarily conducted in the following laboratories:
Weinberg Clinical Research Unit - Pediatrics Section The Department of Pediatrics actively participates in industry-sponsored clinical research in the Pediatrics Section of the Weinberg Clinical Research Unit.
Immunopharmacology Laboratory This lab conducts assays related to corticosteroid pharmacokinetics and also lymphocyte sensitivity to corticosteroids, a pharmacodynamic assay.
