New Therapeutic Approach for the Treatment of Sarcoidosis
Brian Day, PhD, has created a method to increase the secretion of thiol-containing molecules by airway epithelial cells through the use of compounds like sulfasalazine or flavone for example. This approach has therapeutic potential for the treatment of sarcoidosis but also respiratory diseases like cystic fibrosis and chronic berrylium disease.
