Potential Treatment for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and Other Fibrotic Conditions
David Riches, PhD has found that blocking the association of PTPN13 to Fas induces fibroblasts cellular death. Since excessive accumulation of living fibroblasts in the lungs is characteristic of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, this finding has therapeutic potential for the treatment of this disorder
