At National Jewish, performing clinical research is an integral component of our mission to develop new therapies and reagents for the management and treatment of clinical disease. The institute is committed to facilitating clinical research and has established several facilities to assist in the complicance aspects, the design of the trial as well as creating repositories of samples from patients that are accessible to investigators at National Jewish Health.

In findings published online in Nature Genetics on April 14, 2013, researchers at National Jewish Health, the University of Colorado and several other institutions found a number of genes associated with host defense, cell-cell adhesion and DNA repair, which provide clues to possible mechanisms underlying this currently untreatable disease. Read more.
