Adult Neuropsychology Research

The adult neuropsychology laboratory at National Jewish Health has a number of ongoing projects and research interests.

These include:

  • Neuropsychological functioning in lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus): relationship to structural brain imaging, neurometabolites and immune measures

  • Cognitive functioning associated with lung abnormalities and exercise endurance in patients with lupus

  • Functional and structural neuroimaging in sleep apnea

  • Cognition and sleep at altitude

  • Neuropsychological outcome measures following myocardial revascularization: on and off cardiopulmonary bypass

  • Changes in cognition following long term oxygen therapy in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

  • Cognitive function following pulmonary rehabilitation for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

  • Relationship between cardiopulmonary function and cognition in patients with COPD

  • Medical factors related to cognitive functioning in patients with heart failure

  • Cognitive dysfunction and mood disorders in patients with Parkinson's Disease
