Medical Informatics. Dr. Wade is the Project Leader and Chief Designer for the National Jewish Health Research Database project. This extensive undertaking integrates data gathered from clinics, studies, laboratories and the specimen bank in an effort to facilitate further research on individualized medicine. Database design. System design and integration. Usability of information systems. WWW technologies. Applied artificial intelligence. Have developed applications in medical education, groupware, research data collection and management, and medical care quality assurance. Subject areas have included clinical laboratory, drug utilization review, problem-based learning in pediatrics, epidemiology, exercise physiology, fitness monitoring, bioterrorism response training, physical examination, sleep monitoring, primate behavior.
