The Office of Professional Education at National Jewish Health strives to create innovative educational activities that assist physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other health care providers in developing and enhancing their clinical knowledge, competency and performance.
National Jewish Health has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) since its inception in 1984; in December 2011, National Jewish Health received Accreditation with Commendation from the ACCME. This is the highest level of accreditation through the ACCME and is awarded to providers that demonstrate compliance in all 22 Criteria and the Accreditation Policies.
National Jewish Health is also accredited by the California Board of Registered Nurses to provide continuing nursing education, and by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education to provide continuing pharmacy education. The Office of Professional Education includes several Certified Healthcare CPD Professionals (CHCPs), ensuring that our educational activity development is being managed by persons who understand principles of adult learning and professional development, who know how to frame clinical content for maximum impact, and who can wisely interpret the rules and regulations that define the field.
