Target Audience

Primary care physicians, general internists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, home care workers, and other allied health care professionals.

  • Patient Education and Self-Management
  • Case-Based Workshops

Following the workshop, learners will be able to provide GOLD guideline concordant COPD care for:

  • diagnosing and assessing patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • managing stable COPD of all severity levels
  • managing acute exacerbations of COPD
  • providing support and education for patients and families to engage in self-care activities to optimize quality of life
