The Office of Professional Education at National Jewish Health strives to create innovative educational activities that assist physicians and health care providers in developing and enhancing their clinical knowledge, competency and skills. The Office of Professional Education excels at producing high quality continuing medical education in the areas and diseases that National Jewish Health researches and treats.

ACCMENational Jewish Health has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) since its inception in 1984; in December 2011, National Jewish Health received Accreditation with Commendation from the ACCME. This is the highest level of accreditation through the ACCME and is awarded to providers that demonstrate compliance in all 22 Criteria and the Accreditation Policies. National Jewish Health was commended not only for meeting the ACCME's accreditation requirements, but also for demonstrating that the institution is a learning organization and a change agent for the physicians we serve. Professional Education Receives Two CME Awards

The Office of Professional Education at National Jewish Health received two awards at the annual meeting of the Colorado Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (CACME) in August, 2014.

National Jewish Health won the “Best Practice in Collaboration Award” for a partnership with the North American Quitline Consortium on the Beyond the 5 A’s: Improving Cessation Interventions through Strengthened Training. Additionally, the institution received the “Best Practice in Research Award” for the research conducted in year one of The Wellbeing Campaign.

Supraglottic Index Learning Program

The Supraglottic Index Learning Program is a learning program for CME/CE credit.

The Supraglottic Index Learning Program is intended to educate pulmonologists and allergists on anatomy and abnormalities of the supraglottic area to help in phenotyping refractory asthma in order to direct specific personalized therapy for their patients.

Intended audience: Pulmonologists, allergists, ENT, PA, NP, and other health care professionals who treat patients with asthma (in particular, refractory) and have a possibility of high reflux
