Students

Photos of Laura Zarlengo's 10th grade biology students performing different stages of an ELISA, Laura is a teacher at Pomona High School. All the materials and equipment were provided through the Summer Research Program.

ELISAs were critical assays for her summer research at National Jewish Health. Her students were very excited to be able to perform the same type of assay that their teacher had learned over the summer.

Members of Dr. Ross Kedl's lab visited Chantel Maybach's class. Dr. Kedl and his team helped the students perform ELISAs and taught the basic principles of immunology. Students used costumes to assume different components of the immune system.
