Applications are now being accepted for fellowship positions within the Thoracic Radiology Division starting July 2008.
The fellow will be based at National Jewish Medical and Research Center (NJMRC). The pulmonary medicine program at NJMRC is ranked first in the country, and there are extraordinary opportunities for continued learning, research and clinical interactions.
The four-person thoracic radiology section is internationally recognized for its expertise, and enjoys an equally high local reputation. The members of the group are Drs John Newell (Director) David Lynch (Co-director), John Armstrong, and Valerie Hale. Areas of interest of our group include interstitial lung disease, airways disease, asthma, emphysema, quantitative lung imaging, and screening for lung cancer. We have funded research projects in all of these areas.
The fellow will participate actively in multi-disciplinary conferences dealing with pulmonary medicine, cardiothoracic surgery, interstitial lung disease, mycobacterial disease, and radiologic-pathologic correlation. Mentorship will be provided for completion of a research project, and travel to a national meeting will be supported.
