Research in Adult Neuropsychology

The adult neuropsychology laboratory at National Jewish has a number of ongoing projects and research interests.

These include:

  • Neuropsychological functioning in systemic lupus erythematosus: relationship to structural brain imaging, neurometabolites and immune measures.
  • Cognition in patients with sleep apnea, relationship of executive functioning to severity of intermittent nocturnal hypoxemia.
  • Neuropsychological outcome measures following myocardial revascularization: on and off cardiopulmonary bypass.
  • Neurobehavioral changes associated with West Nile Virus.
  • Changes in cognition following medical treatment and lung volume reduction surgery in pulmonary patients.
  • Relationship between cognition and immune functions in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome.
