Please join us for the third annual New Directions Luncheon. The dollars raised at this event enable National Jewish Health to deliver compassionate care to patients and conduct research into the respiratory and related diseases that are affecting millions of men, women, and children worldwide. Our Keynote speaker, Dr. Cecile S. Rose, MD, MPH, will focus her talk on the care and research of patients with post-deployment lung disease, an increasingly common condition for men and women returning from war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dr. Rose’s major research interests are in environmental and occupational lung diseases, particularly hypersensitivity pneumonitis, constrictive bronchiolitis and the pneumoconioses. She leads the National Jewish Health Center of Excellence on Deployment-Related Lung Disease to research, diagnose and care for the U.S. military men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with severe lung diseases.
Dr. Cecile Rose is also Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care at the University of Colorado Denver, and in the Department of Environmental Health at the Colorado School of Public Health. She is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and occupational/ environmental medicine, and has a master’s degree in public health.
