The Asthma Wizard
Chapter 16: What Can Kids with Asthma Do?

Children with asthma can do many fun things. Hannah, Tina and Zack enjoy swimming, ice skating, piano, hide-and-seek, soccer, scouts and vacations with their families. That's a lot of fun things.

Because Hannah, Tina and Zack have asthma, they need to be prepared when they do fun things. They have an asthma action plan their Doctors gave them.

Being prepared means they know their:

  • Peak flow numbers and zones
  • Early warning signs and asthma symptoms
  • Things that make their asthma worse
  • Asthma medicines

The asthma action plan your Doctor gives you will help you know how to be prepared. Talk with your mom or dad about how you can be prepared.
