Q. How soon will I get my test results after mailing in my samples?

A. Within 14 days from receipt of your sample. Our Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories (ADx) run the allergen tests on a predetermined schedule. View the schedule (PDF).
 

Q. How long will it take me to do the sampling?

A. Approximately ½ hour.

 

Q. Will test results indicate if there is mold in my basement or bathrooms, even if I haven’t tested there?

A. Test results will indicate the level of airborne mold spores, which are typical in homes where mold is growing. But it isn’t a substitute for prudent home inspection. You should still frequently check moisture-prone areas in your home.
 

Q. Can I use the Family Air Care™ Indoor Allergens & Mold Test if I don’t have carpet?

A. Yes.
 

Q. Will test results indicate if there are high levels of bird or guinea pig allergens in my home?

A. The Family Air Care™ Indoor Allergens & Mold Test tests only for the most frequently-occurring allergens: dust mites, mold, cat and dog and cockroach. Call the National Jewish Lung Line at 1-800-222-LUNG for information on other allergens and irritants.
