New Strategies for Managing COPD

The goal of this program will be to improve the knowledge, competence and performance in assessment and treatment of COPD through a live evening symposium, incorporating case-based learning, multi-media approaches and written materials.

 

Target Audience

Family and Internal Medicine Physicians, Pulmonologists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Pharmacists, and allied health professionals who work with COPD patients in the Rocky Mountain Region.

 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this educational conference, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the 2011 GOLD recommendations for the combined assessment of COPD.
  2. Determine appropriate therapies for COPD patients based on the new GOLD patient groups.
  3. Apply evidence-based management to your patients with COPD.
