Kunsberg School: Recent Enhancements

• Each of the six classrooms now have three new computers, and they are all connected to the computer lab. Children can begin group projects or learning activities in the lab, then log off, return to their room, and continue the work they had started. This has greatly enhanced the learning opportunity for Kunsberg children.
• Kunsberg has a new reading series this year (Houghton Mifflin) and for the first time ever, children are learning from the same series and in a sequential order that transfers from grade to grade.
• We have lengthened the school day and added literacy time so teachers can have more instructional time with the students. Kunsberg has one of the longest school days in the state (7:45-3:20) for a five day school, but this allows children to spend more time in an educational setting.
• Coming Soon! Kunsberg will be receiving a new technology called Promethean Planet. Interactive white boards will be installed and connected to the teacher's computer. An overhead projector will be attached to the white boards and to the computer, so teachers can pull up learning activities from thousands of lesson plans to teach the class. The technology is amazing and each child will have a hand held remote device which allows them be involved with the lesson.
