 Yes or No?

Questions helpful in diagnosing a sleep disorder.

Do you feel excessively sleepy or tired during the day?
Do you find it difficult to stay awake or concentrate on your tasks?
Have you ever been told that you snore loudly or stop breathing in your sleep?
Do you awaken suddenly from sleep gasping for air?
Do you suffer from morning headaches or night-time leg discomfort?
Do you walk or talk in your sleep?
Do you have any trouble falling asleep?
Once asleep, do you awaken frequently during the night?

If you answer "Yes" to any of these questions you may have a sleep disorder. You and your doctor may choose to have you seen by a sleep specialist. A sleep specialist is a doctor with special training in sleep disorders. A sleep specialist at the Sleep Center of the National Jewish Health may help you to sleep better. The Sleep Center treats people with sleep disorders. We treat sleep apnea, and other disorders causing excessive sleepiness or insomnia .
