Joe Davis is the President of Davis Marketing Services. His career
in retailing included 37 years with May Department Stores Co., where he
was in charge of three divisions. He was President and Chief Executive
Officer of May D&F in Denver from 1983 to 1993. Prior to that, he
was President and CEO of M. O’Neil Co. in Akron, Ohio, from 1979 to
1983, and had been President of G. Fox in Hartford, Conn., from 1975 to
1979. Mr. Davis is also a former visiting professor at University of
Colorado at Denver School of Business.
A graduate of Columbia University, Mr. Davis holds a master of
business administration degree from the Harvard School of Business.
Mr. Davis has served on numerous professional and civic boards
including the Board of Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado
Alliance of Business, the University of Colorado President’s Business
Council, Colorado National Bank, Mile High United Way, Colorado
Academy, Denver University Humanities Institute, and Denver Public
Library Friends Foundation.
Mr. Davis and his wife, Marty, have four children.
