Burt Tansky was named President and CEO of the Neiman Marcus Groupin 2000. Prior to the appointment, he served as CEO of Bergdorf Goodmanand Neiman Marcus Stores, had been President of Saks Fifth Avenue andheld executive positions with I. Magnin.
Mr. Tansky and his wife, Rita, started the Burton M. and Rita TanskyFund for Research on the Influences of Viruses on the Immune System. In1995 he received National Jewish Health’s highest honor, the Arthur B.Lorber Award for Distinguished Service.
Mr. and Mrs.Tansky have two children and three grandchildren.
