Burt TanskyBurt Tansky was named President and CEO of the Neiman Marcus Group in 2000. Prior to the appointment, he served as CEO of Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus Stores, had been President of Saks Fifth Avenue and held executive positions with I. Magnin.

Mr. Tansky and his wife, Rita, started the Burton M. and Rita Tansky Fund for Research on the Influences of Viruses on the Immune System. In 1995 he received National Jewish Health’s highest honor, the Arthur B. Lorber Award for Distinguished Service.

Mr. and Mrs.Tansky have two children and three grandchildren.
