Special Interests

Research Interests

Main focus of our laboratory is on cell signaling pathways involved in lung injury and lung cancer. HER2, a receptor of EGFR family of receptors, is activated by Neuregulin-1 in injuries leading to activation of a cascade of signaling pathways. Our research findings demonstrate that Neuregulin-1 is involved in progression of lung injury and fibrosis. We are investigating role of ADAM-17 in progression of NRG-1-pathway mediated lung injury.
