Dr. LaChance is interested assisting people with depression, anxiety and psychological distress associated with chronic illness. Dr. LaChance enjoys working with a variety of individuals applying new treatment approaches designed to improve physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Dr. LaChance is interested in researching innovative advancements in psychosocial treatment. Examples include: couples-based treatment for smoking cessation, family-based motivational intervention, integrated treatment approaches for substance abusing and self-injurious adolescents, and social support involvement to improve medication compliance and treatment outcome.
