Clinical Interests

As a Clinical Art Therapist, I provide art therapy assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents on the Pediatric Care Unit. A majority of the patients I work with have chronic illness such as asthma, severe allergies, eczema, immune deficiencies and lung diseases. These patients are seen in individual and group art therapy for evaluation and treatment of psychological factors that may be impacting their respiratory illness.

In the art therapy sessions, the patients meet in a safe and fun environment where they can express their feelings about their illness.  I also help patients build on their personal strengths and focus on projects and interventions that help children build self-esteem.    Please see the art therapy link for more information about art therapy.
