Clinical Interests
I am interested in the care of pediatric patients with chronic inflammatory lung diseases such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia. I have a particular interest in the evaluation of young infants and toddlers with recurrent wheeze. Given the difficulty in determining the development of asthma in very young children and the critical need for early intervention and management, my research involves the evaluation of these young wheezers using various tools such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy and infant pulmonary function testing. I am also involved with the Childhood Asthma Research and Education Network.
