Research Interests

Cell cycle control in normal and cancer cells. Signal transduction in mast cells and T lymphocytes. My major research interest is the role of G1-phase cyclin-dependent kinases and their associated proteins and substrates in cell cycle control in normal and transformed cells. These complexes of molecules are important as components of them are deficient in many tumors derived from T and B-lymphocytes and from breast epithelial cells. I am also involved in studies designed to delineate the signal transduction pathways which lead to effector functions in T lymphocytes and in mast cells. Elucidation of these pathways is important in understanding a variety of immunological disorders.
