National Jewish Health Set to Kick Off 32nd Annual Pulmonary & Allergy Update

Allergists, pulmonologists and general practitioners can learn the approaches and methods used to diagnose and treat allergic, respiratory and immune diseases at the 32nd Annual Pulmonary & Allergy Update conference hosted February 3-6, 2010, by National Jewish Health. The program is co-chaired by National Jewish professors Harold Nelson, MD, Richard Martin, MD, and Erwin Gelfand, MD, and is a great opportunity to interact with the world's leading specialists.

"This conference will assist all medical professionals in treating their patients who suffer from these conditions," said Dr. Nelson. "It is a tremendous opportunity to learn from some of the best teachers in the nation."

The four-day conference will feature lectures and case based workshops with pulmonary, allergy/immunology focuses. Pulmonary topics include autoimmune lung disease, H1N1 flu, lung cancer, vitamin D, and COPD. The allergy/immunology topics cover atopic dermatitis, chronic sinusitis, pediatric and adult asthma, asthma outreach in schools, asthma medication update, and refractory asthma. The conference also includes a review course for the asthma educator certification exam.

All participants will observe presentations by national and international speakers and take part in case study discussion workshops interacting with National Jewish Health Faculty. Attendees can earn 16 CME credits or 16.2 CE nursing contact hours.
