NJ4kids/National Jewish Health Brings World-Renowned Expertise to Vail Valley Medical Center

National Jewish Health, through its Pediatric program NJ4kids, is bringing its world-renowned expertise in pediatric respiratory and allergic diseases to the Vail Valley. Beginning November 14, in cooperation with Vail Valley Medical Center , National Jewish pediatric specialists will see patients on the second Friday of every month at the Shaw Regional Cancer Center Building , 322 Beard Creek Road , in Edwards. Patients and physicians can call 1-800-621-0505, extension 1355 | Option 4 for an appointment.

"We realize that many patients want to see our pediatric specialists but find it difficult to make the trip to Denver," said Erwin Gelfand, MD, Chair of Pediatrics at National Jewish Health. "So we are coming to the Vail Valley instead."

Each month, pediatric allergist/immunologist David Fleischer, MD, and pediatric pulmonologist Gary Larsen, MD, will see patients suffering from allergies, asthma, atopic dermatitis, recurrent infections, sinusitis and pulmonary problems. Dr. Fleischer is board-certified in   pediatrics and pediatric allergy/immunology. His interests include allergy and asthma, with a special focus on food allergy. Dr. Larsen is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology. His clinical interests include asthma in children, pulmonary medicine, pulmonary inflammation, airway responsiveness, and control of airway  function.
