National Jewish Hires Ron Berge as New Chief Operating Officer
National Jewish has hired Ron Berge as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Berge has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and hospital operations, most recently as the Vice President of Facility Development at The Children's Hospital in Denver.
"Ron brings a unique blend of clinical, academic and operational experience to the position," said Michael Salem, MD, President and CEO of National Jewish. "I am confident that he will prove an excellent addition to the team during this exciting time at National Jewish."
Berge holds a master's degree in business administration and began his healthcare career in 1974 as a physician's assistant. He joined The Children's Hospital in 1987 as the Director of Contract Management. As Vice President of Facility Development, Berge directed the design and construction of Children's new hospital, outpatient pavilion, clinical and research laboratories, behavioral health pavilion and office complex.
