  • Protect Yourself from the Dangers of the Sun
    Exposure to sun is the number one cause of skin cancer and causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces. Try these sun tips and play our interactive Sun Safety game.
  • Avoid and Treat Irritating Insect Stings
    Insect stings c an cause reactions ranging from minor irritation, to serious allergic or toxic reactions. Here are some tips to help take the sting out of summer.

            Recent Research

              • Identifying Eczema Patients at Risk for Viral Infections
                A subset of patients with eczema are susceptible to serious infections. Researchers led by Donald Leung, MD, PhD, carefully characterized for the first time a large group of eczema patients with widespread herpes simplex viral infections. They found that those patients were more likely to have severe eczema, high levels of allergic biomarkers, a history of food allergy and staph infections. These findings could help identify eczema patients prone to serious viral infections.
