High Altitude Information

Denver is the Mile High City, with an average elevation of 5,280 feet. Sometimes people from lower altitudes experience some initial discomfort, lightheadedness or headache symptoms that pass in a day or two. To help your body make an easier adjustment remember three things: slow down a little on your first day here, limit your intake of alcoholic beverages, and drink more water or other nonalcoholic beverages the first day or two. Learn more about altitude sickness.
