Why Volunteer at National Jewish?

Volunteering at one of the worlds leading medical and research institutions can be a rewarding experience. In immeasurable ways, your time and dedication can help children and adults who suffer from chronic illnesses, and help National Jewish maintain its place as one of Denver's and Colorado's most respected and valued institutions.

Frances Jacobs Stained Glass in Colorado Capital Building Rotunda

More than 100 years ago one volunteer had a vision: a hospital for poor tuberculosis victims who had journeyed to Denver for the healing power of our climate. Frances Wisebart Jacobs's vision made her the first National Jewish volunteer.

Since Frances Jacobs's time, thousands of Coloradans have shared her passion to help those who suffer from respiratory, allergic and immune diseases and have generously committed their time and talents. We hope you will become a part of this remarkable heritage.
