A New Building and Other Capital Construction

In June 2005, National Jewish Health will break ground for a new patient care and research building. This new 90,000-square-foot building will add four floors of research laboratories and two floors for patient care facilities. The dynamic building includes a dramatic five-story atrium, which will infuse the building with light. It is designed to be functional, efficient, attractive and comfortable for patients, faculty and staff.
We will also renovate our existing adult patient clinics. Our capital construction plans will enable us to provide better care for more patients, including indigent and underserved patients who, in many cases, cannot receive care elsewhere.
In addition to the three new research floors, we will renovate two floors of current laboratory space. The construction and renovation present a great opportunity for our researchers. With more and better space, they will be able to expand their important studies. The modern laboratory designs will allow researchers to work more collaboratively.
