Stephen K. Frankel, MD Division Chief
What do we do? We specialize in the care of the acutely-ill patient. The National Jewish Health CC & HM faculty provide a broad and comprehensive range of clinical services for patients with serious and life-threatening medical conditions. National Jewish Health is the exclusive provider of critical care services at both HealthONE/Rose Medical Center and HealthONE/Swedish Medical Center, and the major provider of Hospitalist services at HealthONE/Rose Medical Center.
Why National Jewish Health? Beyond providing exceptional clinical care, we actively participate in housestaff education through our relationship with the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Our Division supports professional education/continuing medical education events including the Society of Critical Care Medicine's Fundamentals of Critical Care Support class. Also in keeping with the mission of National Jewish Health, the CC & HM faculty participate in clinical and translational research initiatives focusing on such diseases as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis, influenza and exacerbations of fibrotic lung disease.
National Jewish Health South Denver (formerly South Denver Pulmonary) has been providing specialized pulmonary, sleep and critical care medicine in the south metro area since 1974. Learn more.
