General Summary
National Jewish Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver safe and appropriate patient care within scope of practice and established policies and procedures under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in our Cardiology Unit. Previous experience working in Cardiology is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, mathematical and computer skills.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certification and Licensure
Medical Assistant Certification; or Registered Medical Assistant Limited Scope: Documentation of completion of a formal program required. CPR/BLS required. Documentation of completion from a formal Medical Assistant program through an accredited school or documentation of a medical program that meets the criteria of a medical assistant program such as military prepared corpsman or medic. Military Corpsman/medic training.
Work Experience
One (1) year medical assistant experience preferred. ECG experience preferred. Cardiology experience is highly preferred.
