Orthopedics (includes post-surgical rehabilitation, work or sports-related injuries, overuse injuries); Pulmonary Rehabilitation; Personal Training; Yoga
Emily graduated from the University of Colorado in 2007 with a Doctorate in Physical therapy (DPT). She has been a certified yoga instructor since 2002. Since starting with National Jewish Health in 2007, she has developed an expertise in treating orthopedic issues in patients with complex medical problems. In addition to traditional therapy in the clinic, she also treats patients in a warm water therapy pool. This format is excellent for people with chronic pain or fatigue. She is a foot and ankle specialist. In her foot and ankle practice, she evaluates each patient individually and creates a solution including manual therapy, exercise and pain control and constructs Vasyli Custom Orthotics.
Emily has a passion for staying fit and healthy, especially in the outdoors. She has hiked 20 of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks and continues to work toward completing the list. She enjoys rock climbing, ice climbing, skiing and cycling. She teaches classes in yoga, bootcamp and kettlebell. Beyond enjoying physical activity, she is also a musician and loves to cook healthy food for her family.
